-------------------------
You breathe, and a longing emerges that I cannot express
You sigh, and my soul groans as it stretches to meet you
You speak to the inner depths of me and I cannot turn away
You are not to be ignored, yet you are not belligerent
you are gentle in your commands.
You see through my eyes and your heart mourns
For I turn away when you will not
I glance outward while you do not
I look past but you do not
You remain
You stay
You bleed and you laugh and you shield and you comfort
Even those that do not see and refuse to believe.
You walk the earth in your calm and ferocious love
You offer healing
pure and deep
How awesome are You
That You would love those who deny You
And help those who hurt You
And accept those who smear Your name.
And for the privilege of knowing you Lord
The privilege of being called Your own
I declare there is none like You
You are sovereign and holy and perfect
And I will be a witness to you
I will say that God indeed walks the earth.
