Come Father God, take hold of me. I’m drowning in a river full of rapids. I don’t dare grasp for anything but air. I’m afraid. I bounce furiously from rapid to rapid and rock to rock. I’m drowning. I’m dying. The water is ferocious. No mercy does she have on me! Please, take command of her Father God. Please, take hold of my hand and pull me up from her cold wet grasp! I know you’ve given me authority but right now I’m too afraid to speak or think. Hear my heart’s cry. Hear my soul’s remorse. Hear me God! My Savior, where are you?! Lift me up, give me new breath, revive my body and my life. Muffle these crashing sounds and bring peace to these waters. Flood me with a new life. Help me!
“My beautiful baby girl, My daughter, be still and realize the water in this stream is only two feet deep. Now stand.”
Please, God, don’t let us drown in two feet of water.
